How do I acquire Morning Glory seeds from the plant?

I know it has to do with the seed pods, but where and when? I live in Northern Florida. I'd like to grow some, but since they're around, I may as well get seeds from the plants themselves.

Provide pictures if possible.

You are correct. The seed are in the pod. Wait until it dry and open it, there are usually four seeds to a pod. But, with the Hybrids today they may not seed. It would need to be an old variety.

If you can find an old woman that have them, most likely hers will seed. Ask, most people give you seeds and cuttings.
Reply:When you see the seed pods pick them and take the seeds out of the pods and leave the seeds to dry in a windowsill or wherever. When you think they are ready, put them in an envelope and leave overwinter in a dry part of the house. When it is warm enough in Spring, after the soil warms up, plant the seeds and keep them watered till they come up, then water occasionally. Good luck.
Reply:The bloom will eventually die away and the seed pod develops at the base of the old bloom. Personally, I hate the things, they will take over your entire yard without your help.
Reply:the skull knows you aren't gonna grow them, yer gonna take a trip and never leave the farm.
