Can I get tips on how to look after my Morning Glory vines?

I've followed the seed package instructions and it said to sow them indoors now. It's been 4 days and they're already 4 inches long! When is it ok for me to put them outside considering that I live in Canada. I'm also wondering if these vines will come back every year or will I have to re-plant them every spring? Thanks!

It sounds like the seedlings are getting a bit leggy as they try to reach for the light. Put them under a grow light and they won't get tall so fast. They do grow very quickly, so this may be a little early to get them started in your climate. They can also be direct-seeded outdoors. Me? I'd grow some both ways.
Reply:You won't have to tend them. They will grow, and grow, and spread like wildfire especially with a little Miracle Grow thrown to them.
Reply:What?? U need to tend Morning Glory Vines???? You lucky bloke!! I want to rid my backyard of them.. It's a weed here!!!!
Reply:Morning Glory vines are annuals and need to be planted yearly, however my vines have reseeded themselves for over ten years. The vines are pretty tender but you can toughen them up if you put them out during the day when the weather is above sixty degrees and bring them in when the temperature drops in the evening. My uncle used to say not to plant anything in the ground until the maple leafs are the size of a crow's foot! ( Old Indian planting rule I guess!) This rule has always worked for me, maybe you can use it too. Good luck with your vines!
