Why won't my Morning Glory's grow? Are they high maintence?

My experience w/ morning glories is limited to southern California, known for its rather temperate climate. I've noticed however, that the growing season for m-glz is from

May - September. They require (here), no fertilizer and moderate to light watering. That is in a clay soil and very rare rainfall during those months.

It takes them a little while to get started but generally a little water, sunshine and a general fertilizer and they take off pretty good.
Reply:morning glories require alot of water, and fertilizer......just a litlle bit of miricale grow once a week and water them daily......that's all you do, and make sure that they have something to climb on......good luck
