Does anyone know where I can get morning glory seed or plants, In the Omaha,Ne. area?

Good lord, you're welcome to come and get the ten bazillion seeds on my morning-glory-covered trellises now...save me pulling all the seedlings out of the lawn again all next year!

If you grow them, be sure you're ready to deal with the ten million seeds they produce all summer and fall...you have to stay ahead of them and cut off the blossoms as soon as they are spent...basically every day. Or grow them somewhere you don't care if they run wild...because they will.

Yet, I still like them...go figure. :-)

The garden center should have them. Or any store that has a gardening department. Look for the little turnstyle stands that have all the seed packets.
Reply:WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT SOME
Reply:Did you try looking in the glory hole?
Reply:They don't transplant well, you are much better off with seeds. I think it's kind of late to start to grow them where you are, because I'm sure they will die back with the frost.

Unless you are looking for a particular or a special variety, ask friends for seeds-morning glories, they make lots!

The Japanese LOVE morning glories, so if you want something unusual, search the web, try looking for nurseries that specialize in oriental plants or ask someone who might know about that kind of thing.
Reply:If you cannot find them in O., Ne area, send for them from:

There are many other internet gardening stores to buy from.
Reply:I've never seen them available as plants, but you should be able to get the seeds online from Burpee's website.
Reply:I ain't sure but I wouldn't plant alot they grow fast and they reseed
